Presto acquires Cantell ApS – strengthening the European offering within dangerous goods, chemical compliance and specialist safety training

Presto and Cantell ApS
Presto Denmark, part of Presto Group (“Presto”), Europe’s leading company within active fire safety, safety training, and first aid, acquires Cantell ApS, a Danish specialist company within dangerous goods, chemical safety and compliance, including advisory services, training and e-learning. The acquisition is an important step in expanding Presto’s European safety and compliance platform while also strengthening the Group’s ability to support customers facing increasingly complex regulatory obligations.

Founded in 2002, Cantell, has established a strong position as one of Denmark’s leading providers of professional advisory services and training within dangerous goods, chemicals and hazardous waste. Headquartered in Fredericia it employs a strong team of specialised consultants, led by Helle Kynde Hornum, who runs the business together with Chief Consultant Mick Hornum. Both will continue in their current roles and will play a central part in the further development of Cantell as part of Presto.

“The acquisition of Cantell brings highly specialised competence into Presto. We see them as a fantastic company with a strong cultural and professional match, where integrity is at the core of their daily work with customers. It is truly impressive,” says Anders Kjærsgaard, Head of M&A, Presto Denmark. “I am very proud that Cantell has chosen to join our Presto family. We have already met with our Finnish dangerous goods unit, DGM Finland, and experienced strong synergies and very positive energy.”

Mark Nilsson, Country Manager for Presto Denmark, adds:
“Dangerous goods, especially the handling and transport of batteries, is becoming a larger and increasingly critical area in Danish industry. With Cantell, we gain some of the country’s strongest specialists within dangerous goods training and chemical compliance, and we are very pleased to expand our services and support for customers in Denmark.”

With Cantell, Presto strengthens its ability to offer an integrated portfolio ranging from fire protection and first aid to workplace safety, chemical compliance and dangerous goods advisory, making Presto an even stronger full-service partner for European industrial companies.

“We are pleased to become part of Presto because we share the same mission: to enhance safety for our customers. The acquisition allows us to do even more — without changing the professionalism and integrity that Cantell is known for. With Presto, we gain a solid European platform and even better opportunities to strengthen safety and compliance in Danish and Nordic companies.”, says Helle Kynde Hornum, CEO of Cantell.

For customers the acquisition means:

• Broader and deeper competence within dangerous goods and chemical compliance
• More training formats, including advanced DGSA/CBTA training and e-learning
• Continued operation with the same Cantell team and leadership
• Expanded advisory and service offerings through Presto’s European network
